Mary Meeker’s 2016 Internet Trends

Mary Meeker’s 2016 Internet Trends. Stop holding your breath, as Mary Meeker is back with one of the most eagerly anticipated reports of 2016. Silicon Valley literally starts breathing again, when this always weighty (213 pages this year), Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers (KPCB) cornucopia of facts is released. In our always on, always connected world, Mary Meeker continually packs a ton of useful information into this yearly manifesto.

Meeker’s insights capture all of tech’s attention, but brands and businesses alike should take heed, as there are many crucial nuggets to digest – providing much needed guidance in this morphing world. Here are Recode’s top three takeaways, verbatim, after it was unleashed at their recent Code conference:

    1. The Internet itself is seeing slowing growth. In the past two decades, the Internet economy was affected by macroeconomic trends, but it was external issues like the housing crisis and the financial crisis that were driving the slowdown. Now it is global Internet growth itself that is slowing down.
    2. Typing text into a search bar is so last year. In five years, at least 50 percent of all searches are going to be either images or speech.
    3. The home screen has acted as the de facto portal on mobile devices since the arrival of the iPhone and even before. Messaging apps, with context and time, have a chance to rival the home screen as the go-to place for interaction.

Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers partner Mary Meeker delivers her annual Internet trends report. She says, “easy growth is behind us” as the newest Internet users are coming from less developed and less affluent countries. Meeker also delves into artificial intelligence, Snapchat brand integrations, changes to live sports viewing habits, car industry innovation and the rise of millennial consumers, among many other topics.

You actually make it seem really easy along with your presentation however I find this topic to be really something that I think I’d
never understand. It seems too complex and very large for me.
I’m having a look ahead for your subsequent submit, I’ll attempt to get
    the dangle of it!
